The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

God is great: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move, and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternal separation from God is Hell, and eternal union with God is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Humans are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. Humans were created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, humans cannot attain a right relationship with God through their own efforts. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin and are baptized through immersion. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to this earth to judge the world, to gather those who have put their faith in Him, and to punish those who have continued to rebel against Him. While the exact moment of His return will not be known, the fact that He will return should cause us to live with urgency and should be a great hope to everyone who trusts in Him.

A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center continues to serve Northeast Colorado. There were 266 people served in the Holyoke office with seven babies being born in 2023.
Marie reported that things are going very well overall with some clinics seeing the need for bigger, or even new buildings. As Colorado is a receiving state for abortions, they request prayer to stay strong, having the courage and strength to fight with wisdom, love, mercy, and grace.
2023 marked the 10th year of ministry for Care Uganda. Construction of a new nursery building has made more room in the primary school for older students. Currently 233 of the 373 children remain on campus. The beginning of a new school year also means that a new class of 25 children will be added to the ministry and available for sponsorship. New to the ministry is a whole other type of “kid”. A goat barn raised in March has added animal husbandry to the children’s education, as well as providing extra protein for meals.
End of the year donations provided funds to repair the roof on the main primary school and purchase paint for a much-needed facelift. A group of nine will be leaving February 8 to help with the installation of a new playground on the nursery grounds, paint, and attend the graduation celebration of our seven 2024 graduates. On a celebration note, out of 225 Primary schools in the Bugiri Uganda District, KCK ranked #3 in Test scores!
If interested in sponsoring a kid (the human kind 😊), a $50.00 monthly commitment, or if you are interested in going on a mission trip, contact Jeff or Tricia Michael.
CNE, our Spanish ministry, meets at the church every other Friday night at 7 PM. A group of 10 to 15 people are currently working through a discipleship study to create a leadership base for a future church. There were seven baptisms in 2023 and it is the prayer that they continue in their spiritual growth.
For God’s Children International (serving Romania, Moldova and the Ukraine) has continued to see a year of changes, both in leadership, and in the structure of the ministry itself. As of now, the ministry continues to focus on the work with refugees, as well as the children in the Home of the Good Shepherd. They’re asking for continued prayers for protection, and provision as they serve within the war zone and pray that the conflict can end.
Summit Christian College is an institution of higher learning educating leaders for Christian service. 75% of the cost of a Summit education is covered by donations, like ours, to help offset the cost of those looking to enter ministry in church, youth, or family, leadership and missions. This is a great way to partner with those who are answering God’s call to ministry.
